Meeting with red nosesSome time ago I went for a meeting to Pogrades (Albania). As we are working for CTP on NGO-networking (Non Governmental Organisations) me and Mathilde had to join our coordinator in a conversation with our partners of the NGO Council. It was -12' C that morning, but the sun was shining and we enjoyed our ride as we drove accross the beautiful Ohrid landscape. We arrived at a very modern hotel in the centre of the city. Marmer, red carpet and lots of bling bling. Beside… we had an extraordinary view over the Ohrid Lake. As I entered the lounge room I was just wondering why all people wore so much clothes. Even in the restaurant people were wearing their winter coats, shawls, gloves, etc... Soon I would find out why. This turned out to be the coldest meeting ever. There was no such a thing as a central heater, a stove, or whatsoever in the whole hotel. So we were sitting there all day long, with red noses and frozen toes. I can't remember ever being so happy of hopping in the car and driving for more than two hours. Defrosting, toasting, cooking... I’m looking forward to going back to Ohrid. In SUMMERTIME... | LinksMyEVS albumCategoriesWho's nearby? | |||
