Week 46Meeting with red nosesSome time ago I went for a meeting to Pogrades (Albania). As we are working for CTP on NGO-networking (Non Governmental Organisations) me and Mathilde had to join our coordinator in a conversation with our partners of the NGO Council. It was -12' C that morning, but the sun was shining and we enjoyed our ride as we drove accross the beautiful Ohrid landscape. We arrived at a very modern hotel in the centre of the city. Marmer, red carpet and lots of bling bling. Beside… we had an extraordinary view over the Ohrid Lake. As I entered the lounge room I was just wondering why all people wore so much clothes. Even in the restaurant people were wearing their winter coats, shawls, gloves, etc... Soon I would find out why. This turned out to be the coldest meeting ever. There was no such a thing as a central heater, a stove, or whatsoever in the whole hotel. So we were sitting there all day long, with red noses and frozen toes. I can't remember ever being so happy of hopping in the car and driving for more than two hours. Defrosting, toasting, cooking... I’m looking forward to going back to Ohrid. In SUMMERTIME...
Week 44The little house on the PrespaOnce upon a time... In a little house on the Prespa... Time to give you an update of what happening here in Agios Germanos! Yesterday night I was walking down from Laimos to my village and I felt something falling down that was supposed to be rain, but turned out to be snow!! Winter is conquering Greece! Monday morning I saw snow on top of the highest mountains, but the last three days the weather was so nice, warm and sunny that I couldn't believe that summer had come to an end. But owh Yes! Time to chop wood and lighten our stobars. | LinksMyEVS albumCategoriesWho's nearby? | |||
